2019-20 Color Guard Information |
BMS Color Guard Communication Guide:
We use the "REMIND" APP! Available on smart phones. Can be added to student's and parents' phones. Please download this app for the latest, up-to-date information, and for a direct communication channel with Jamie if anything comes up. JOIN HERE- www.remind.com/join/bmscolorgd
The secondary method of communication for the BMS Color Guard will be through the BMS Band website. You can find all competition dates, parent meetings, and other important information posted by the BMS Band Booster Board.
If your student will miss rehearsal and or is sick, please e-mail or text Jamie at least 24 hours in advance for rehearsal planning purposes. If there is a conflict with one of the performances, please communicate with Jamie as soon as possible, for planning purposes. NEW- Anything attendance related must be communicated directly to Jamie from the child’s parent, no exceptions.
If there are parent-related questions, please reach out to the colorguard representative.
TBD: colorguard@beniciabands.org
FOR COMPETITION DAYS:
During Competition Season:
- Hair must be pulled back and out of student's face. Will be gelled up to go under the beret during competitions.
- No hair color that cannot be completely hidden in by your beret.
- No new piercings. In all competitions, we have to have all the students take out every ear/face piercing due to inspection zones and everyone has to look the same. Even if they are new piercings, the earrings will have to be removed.
- Nail polish must be removed prior to competitions.
