Drum Line

The BMS Drum Line is an awarding percussion based ensemble. Instrumentation consists of xylophones, vibes, snare drums, tenor drums, and bass drums in various sizes. Students perform in various band reviews and exhibition. The competitions are held at various schools in the region.

Drum Line is valuable student experience that contributes greatly to the fabric of middle school life, and is an important factor in the educational and social growth of its members. This experience provides a special combination of teamwork, close camaraderie, fun social events, and supporting BMS school spirit.
Please make sure that if you are participating in Drum Line that you have completed and turned in your medical forms and permission slips. Parents are encouraged to make sure they have completed and turned in all volunteer requirements. Drum Line relies on parent volunteers to help with equipment, chaperoning and driving, especially during Winter Guard.

- Extracurricular
- No experience required
- Marching Drum Line is part of Marching Band (fall and spring seasons)
- Can play and instrument in Marching Band and also participate in Drum Line
- Can also participate in Norse, Concert, Symphonic and/or Jazz bands
- Expectations:
- Attend drum line practices
- Attend marching band practices
- Attend all band reviews with Marching Band
- Perform at Benicia Downtown Parade (December)
